Is new Lil Wayne music on the way? The Young Money head honcho was spotted in the studio with Mannie Fresh over the weekend, as producer Charles Pettaway tweeted a photo of all three of them together.

Were they simply hanging out or were they in the lab creating songs for Weezy's 'The Carter V' album? Some might say the latter, which is a perfect opportunity for the rapper and his former collaborator Mannie Fresh to team up once again. The last time they did just that was on 'Tha Carter' album back in 2004 -- remember songs like 'Go DJ'?

Of course, Weezy and his relationship with the lauded producer has been strained over the past several years, ever since Mannie accused Birdman and Cash Money Records of owing him some dough. However, they recently smoothed things out and the beef has died down considerably.

Plus, in 2013, Birdman said he expects that YMCMB artists and the popular beatsmith will create a lot of new joints together as soon as their schedules allow, and by the looks of it, that time has now come.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of sounds the Lil Wayne and Mannie Fresh come up with. Hopefully, the wait won't be too long.
