Lil Wayne Involved in Rape Allegation Charge
Lil Wayne is involved in a sexual assault charge -- but he isn't to blame.
A female catering assistant hired for a pre-Grammy party claims that she was sexually assaulted during the event at producer Noel "Detail" Fisher's home where Weezy was present. But police are targeting Detail with rape allegations, as the woman asserts that he held her overnight and sexually abused her against her own will.
Detail, who resides in Canyon Country, Calif., threw the fête last month in February, inviting guests including the Young Money chief to his abode, which houses a recording studio. The assault took place following the party, with the woman escaping the next morning and alerting police of the crime. She was additionally questioned in the hospital and submitted a rape test, though the results are yet to be revealed.
Wayne is currently trying to keep a clean rap sheet following his release from prison this past November. The New Orleans native, who was served with three years of unsupervised probation for a drugs and weapons case in Arizona, is prepping the release of his highly anticipated 'Tha Carter IV,' landing in stores May 16.
