Lil Wayne has been hitting the studio a lot recently in preparation for his post-prison comeback album 'Tha Carter IV,' and now some of that record's leftover material is making its way online. Apparently a castaway from recent sessions, Wayne's people let go of a new track earlier today entitled 'I Hate Love.'

The track seems to stick pretty closely to the divisive style that Weezy adopted on his last major LP 'Rebirth.' With a backing track that touches on both ambient and industrial music similar to Nine Inch Nails, Wayne nearly mimics a rapping preacher. His flow is slower than usual but emotive about the pain that falling in love can bring if you get stuck in a bad situation.

"I'm such a fatal fellow and she's the reason why," he raps. "Because without the motherf---er, I would die/ I'd die, I'd die/ So bury me today or tomorrow cause I've buried myself away ... I pray I'm resurrected for her nightmare's sake."

While there's no indication that this would have actually made 'Tha Carter IV,' it does seem to harken back to 'Rebirth' a bit more than most fans of Wayne would want. That said, it also shows a newer penchant for storytelling rather than stringing witty one-liners together in rapidfire.
