In an effort to press the point that he is in fact the mayor of New York (sorry Bloomberg), Jay-Z managed to sell out Madison Square Garden, yet again, and have a man who was supposed to be sitting in a Rikers Island jail cell on stage at the Garden.

As expected, last night's 'Blueprint 3' tour was a star-studded affair with Cleveland Cavalier guard LeBron James and center Shaquille O'Neal -- who'd just crushed the New York Knicks at the Quicken Loans Arena Monday night -- in the building. Richard Gere, Don Cheadle and Ludacris were also reportedly in the house, but it was Lil Wayne's appearance that is undoubtedly most noteworthy. After avoiding jail (for now) for the second time in a month, Wayne ran on stage to interrupt what appeared to be Jeezy giving Young Money femcee Nicki Minaj a chance to shine. Weezy, eventually joined by Drake, greeted fans with "Hey motherf---er, hey hi, how ya doin'" and launched into 'I'm Goin' In.'" Weezy made his exit right after the song, leaving the crowd abuzz.

Wayne's guest appearance was the highlight of the concert, which despite the celebs in the crowd lacked the usual star power on stage. Trey Songz stood in for Kid Cudi on 'Already Home' and both Jay and Jeezy performed tracks that normally feature Rihanna and Kanye West, without either one present. Nonetheless, as Jay so eloquently stated last night, Madison Square Garden is officially the "House of Hov."
