Lil Wayne and Drake are the latest artists that have been tapped to perform at this year's BET Awards. The YMCMB rappers join a heavyweight list of scheduled performers that already includes Chris Brown, Jill Scott and Alicia Keys.

Lil Wayne was nominated for five BET Awards this year, including Best Collaboration and Video of the Year for his appearance on Chris Brown's 'Look at Me Now.' He also scored a nod in the Best Male Hip-Hop Artist category. His protégé Drake, who is signed to Weezy's Young Money imprint, will go up against Weezy for the Best Male Hip Hop Artist award and also in the Best Collaboration category too, for his appearance on Rihanna's 'What's My Name,' amongst other nods.

Drizzy and Weezy hit the stage together at the BET Awards in 2009, eliciting controversy in the process for their song selection.

The Toronto rapper just announced that the release date for his sophomore album, 'Take Care,' will be Oct. 24, while Lil Wayne's much delayed album, 'Tha Carter IV,' was recently pushed back to an Aug. 29 release date.

Hosted by comedian Kevin Hart, the 2011 BET Awards will air live on Sunday, June 26 from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
