Lil Twist (real name Christopher Lynn Moore) has been sentenced to one year in jail after pleading no contest to assaulting Nickelodeon actor Christopher Massey.

Twist, who was an associate of Justin Bieber and is currently signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money, was accused of breaking into Massey's L.A. apartment and using brass knuckles during the assault of the actor back in November 2014.

The 23 year-old rapper was sentenced to one year with three years of probation yesterday (Nov. 30). Twist plead no contest to six charges, all felonies— including first-degree residential burglary, assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft and first-degree robbery. He could've faced up to 10 years in prison had he not entered a plea deal, according to TMZ.

Twist doesn't have to turn himself in until Feb. 3 but could be out as early as August for good behavior.

"It's over but not really," the rapper, who is signed to Young Money tweeted after the hearing. "God got me!!"
