Lil Reese Accuses 2 Chainz of Stealing Hook for ‘Wuda Cuda Shuda’

Lil Durk isn’t the only Chicago rapper who’s mad right now. Fellow Def Jam signee Lil Reese put 2 Chainz (who, coincidentally, is also a Def Jam artist) on blast on Twitter on Friday (May 9) for apparently stealing lyrics.

Reese claims the Atlanta rapper lifted the hook for his recent ‘Wuda Cuda Shuda‘ song featuring Lil Boosie from his ‘On My Soul’ collaboration with Lil Herb, which dropped back in February. “2 chains old ass weak Af for dat hook tell him I said it yea he kno wat I’m Tom bout…..#300,” Reese wrote on Twitter.

He backed up his claims on Instagram, posting a screenshot of the story with the caption, “Ain’t Accused s— it’s the truth I’m just givin yu the real dese industry n—-s suck 2me.”

It’d be ridiculous to argue that Reese invented the “woulda coulda shoulda” phrase, but it seems like he might have a point. “You’s a woulda, shoulda, coulda n—- / Okay your clique’s a bunch of woulda, shoulda, coulda n—-s,” he raps on ‘On My Soul.’ Meanwhile, the hook on 2 Chainz’s ‘Wuda Cuda Shuda’ goes, “You a wuda cuda shuda ass n—- / Ole’ wuda cuda shuda ass n—-.”

Although 2 Chainz has yet to respond directly to Reese’s allegations, he appeared to protest his innocence in a one-off tweet on Sunday (May 11). “I don’t listen to regular radio I don’t listen to satellite and I dam sholl don’t listen to f— nuggas !Grownassman.com┬áplay wit it!” he wrote.

So, has 2 Chainz been caught biting? Compare ‘Wuda Cuda Shuda’ with ‘On My Soul’ below and decide for yourself.
