Lil Boosie Also Indicted for Smuggling Drugs
In addition to Thursday's first-degree murder charge, incarcerated rapper Lil Boosie has also been indicted on multiple drug charges, that included attempting to smuggle codeine, marijuana, ecstasy and synthetic marijuana into the correctional facility in which he was housed.
The New Orleans rapper, and father of six, had been serving out a four-year term for violating his probation, when his stay was interrupted. Boosie was escorted to the Louisiana State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and booked for the death of 35-year-old Terry Boyd, who was gunned down in October 2009.
According to East Baton Rouge District Attorney, Hillar Moore, Boosie could be involved in at least five other murders in connection with a group of men that includes Michael Louding, who was just 16 at the time of the killings.
"We're investigating the others in a similar fashion," Moore said. "We are investigating the common pattern of these killings and money."
The 'Wipe Me Down' rapper is not entitled to post bond, and could face death by lethal injection, if convicted.
