Longtime friend and collaborator Lil B confirmed that he worked with Frank Ocean on his upcoming project Boys Don't Cry.

There's been a lot of hoopla surrounding the release date, as all of Frank's suggested drop dates have came and went. But Lil B says there's hope.

"Frank the material, Lil B said in an interview with  Dazed at Finland's Flow Festival.

He also confirmed that he has contributed to recording sessions—but if you were hoping that he had the details on the release date, you're out of luck. Still, he says the album, like his friend, is amazing.

"He called me to come out and do some stuff for his album, Boys Don’t Cry, that’s coming out," he says. "Frank is amazing. He’s a beautiful man with a beautiful voice. He’s a very strong man, a very strong person. Anything that I can do to help him, I will."

The Based God played coy when asked direction questions about the album.

"If Frank releases. Let’s see what Frank releases. Frank has the material."
