Two of the most eccentric rappers in hip-hop -- Lil B and Chance the Rapper -- deliver a new collaborative project, Free (Based Freestyles Mixtape). The collection features the Based God and the Acid Rap creator spitting solid rhymes over some head-nodding beats.

The six-track mixtape starts off on a high note with “Last Dance” a soul-stirring track with Lil B and Chance spitting outlandish bars. The real standout is Mrs. Noname Gypsy, a female rhymer who outshines both of them on the track with metaphoric rhymes galore.

“Like he said before, I'm knockin' on your door / I'm comin' through with metaphor after metaphor / Like Meta 5 / I'm still alive, like the beehive / On some Beyonce shit, I'm hella equipped,” she spits.

Another highlight is "Do My Dance," which features a bouncy trap beat and a soul sample vocal coos. On the song, Chance and Lil B are having way too much spitting braggadocios rhymes.

"It's all for the love, it's all from above / Man I swear I love my thugs / I got love for the homies / I hug the homie / And I tell him that I love him / But I still fuck their bitches / Real talk, man you know man we comin' vicious," Lil B raps.

The closing "We Rare" is another standout that features the rap tandem not taking themselves too seriously and rapping light-hearted rhymes over a hard beat and melodic keyboards.

Overall, if you are a fan of both Lil B and Chance the Rapper, you are going to love this project. The Free (Based Freestyles Mixtape) sounds fantastic and is certainly one of the best mixtapes of 2015. The dynamic duo bring something that is sorely needed in hip-hop right now -- fun-filled rhymes and dope beats.

Thank you Based God!
