The Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia featured some big musical performances including Boyz II Men and Alicia Keys. But tonight (July 27), the DNC is going to rock out on the political stage. Lenny Kravitz has been tapped to perform “Let Love Rule” during the proceedings.

Kravitz started trending on Twitter after a video of his soundcheck leaked online (watch above). In the clip, you can see the 52-year-old rocker tuning up his guitar and making sure the sound levels are correct for his performance.

According to Los Angeles Times, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Empire creator Lee Daniels, actress Angela Bassett, Vice President Joe Biden, survivors of Orlando and Charleston shootings, and more guests are expected to speak tonight. Of course, President Obama will close out the DNC with his speech as well.

As for Twitter, many fans jokingly hope that Kravitz doesn't drop the ball(s) - if you get our drift. If you recall last year, the rocker was performing a concert in Sweden when suddenly his private parts popped out of his pants. Oh my!

However, some naysayers on Twitter felt that Kravitz's appearance would turn the DNC into a rock concert instead of a political event to usher in presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.

Overall, it looks like a big night for the Democrats. Check out the tweets below.
