Leela James travels back to the 1950s in the video for "Something's Got a Hold on Me," a song off her new album, Loving You More...In the Spirit of Etta James. The 28-year-old L.A. native belts out soulful vocals while dressed in a classic style from the era.

In the clip, James sports some cat eye sunglasses and wears an outfit reminiscent of a '50s social gathering. She gets into the groove of the track alongside two of her gal pals, clapping and shaking their hips to the uptempo beat.

"Something's got a hold on me and I said, 'Oh it must be love,'" she sings. "I can feel it, feelin' so strange/ Everything about me seems to change/ Step by step I have a brand new walk/ Even sound sweeter when I talk."

The singer, whose last album, My Soul, dropped in 2010, has her sights set on one guy, and scores some one-on-one time with him by the video's end.
