"What are they so angry about?" That's the sentiment of the clueless folks who have witnessed what's happening Ferguson, Mo. in the aftermath of MIchael Brown's killinng and can't understand why the community there is upset. Lauryn Hill has taken it upon herself to give people who "don't get it" a crash course on history and the black experience in the United States by releasing a powerful new song simply titled 'Black Rage.'

Sang to the tune of 'My Favorite Things' 'Black Rage' gives listeners the recipe for a community pissed at yet another killing of an unarmed man by police: chattel enslavement, institutionalized racial discrimination, unequal protection under the law, lynching are just a few of the things Ms. Hill alludes to in her poignant lyrics. About the song she simply left this comment on SoundCloud:

"An old sketch of Black Rage, done in my living room. Strange, the course of things. Peace for MO."
