KRS-One to Host International Hip-Hop Festival in Connecticut
The fifth edition of the student-run festival takes place on April 9 and 10, and is a free event which is open to the public. It has been billed as a weekend celebration of global hip-hop culture, featuring acts from around the world and offering film screenings, panels and discussions. In addition to the various musical performances and political discussions, local Connecticut artists will be painting murals and a 2-on-2 b-boy battle will also take place, judged by Rock Steady Crew’s Trac2.
Alongside KRS, the festival features former U.S. State Department Cultural Ambassador Toni Blackman, Czech beatboxer Jaro Cossiga, Palestinian hip-hop group DAM and many more international stars.
