Kodak Black Spits ‘Jailhouse Blues’ Freestyle from Behind Bars
Kodak Black is still locked up but he hasn’t stopped writing rhymes. While fans wait for his release, the “Lockjaw” rapper dropped a freestyle called “Jailhouse Blues.”
Through a pre-paid call, Black hums a melody before spitting rhymes about his incarceration and tough childhood.
"Take up my prayers even though I'm confined / They call me 1K cause I'm one of a kind / I'm Kodak Black, young and I'm in my prime / Like a lil boat, I'ma bode my time," he raps, adding, “I ain’t had no guidance so I was committing crimes / “Ain’t had no daddy and that’s my reason why."
Black is currently in jail for possession of marijuana in St. Lucie County, Fla. The 19-year-old rapper is scheduled to get out on Nov. 24, but he faces sexual battery charges in South Carolina, so his freedom might be short-lived.
Nevertheless, Black is trying to stay level-headed through his legal struggles.
