Up-and-coming rapper Kodak Black was arrested in Broward County, Fla., on Thursday (April 21) and is facing a slew of criminal charges.

In a video posted by DJ Akademiks on Twitter, the 18-year-old rhymer is sitting on the ground and handcuffed by police.

According to NBC 6 News, the Pompano Beach, Fla. native was arrested and charged with weapon possession by a convicted felon, marijuana possession, several traffic violations and eluding an officer.

Kodak, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, is still in jail on a $5,000 bond. It's not known if he's hired a lawyer.

This isn't his first run-in with the law. The "Institution" rapper was arrested back in October on assault and robbery charges.

Yesterday (April 21), Black re-tweeted: “When you don bad an on your mup they don’t know you no more.”

And as he continues building his rap repertoire, his “street cred” is beginning to precede him.

Last year, Drake cosigned Black on his Instagram account and he also appeared on French Montana’s "Lock Jaw" a track off the Wave Gods mixtape. Black's mouth full of gold teeth and young and wild rap lyrics also earned him the attention of Meek Mill, K Camp and Earl Sweatshirt.

Hopefully, Kodak Black can get through this legal hurdle and focus on his rap career. He doesn't need prison to impede his success.
