The Washington Post reports that all charges are being dropped against all of the remaining officers charged in connection with the death of Freddie Gray.

Six Baltimore police officers were facing charges in connection with Gray's death, who died during a "rough" ride in a police van. Gray's death sparked protests in Baltimore and throughout the country.

A Baltimore judge had previously acquitted three of the six officers charged and Officer William Porter's trial ended in a hung jury last December.  The Washington Post reports that the trial of Officer Garrett Miller was scheduled to begin today (July 27) but during a hearing to open the trial, prosecutor Michael Schatzow told Judge Barry Williams that the state would dismiss all charges against Miller, Sgt. Alicia White and Officer William Porter.

People have of course, had strong reactions since the news broke earlier this morning. The Gray case is looked at as yet another example of the state-sanctioned violence against black bodies.

"U kill us. Use our mothers as f--king stage props for Dems & the next day announce all charges dropped in Freddie Gray's murder. SMH, Evil," Killer Mike wrote on Twitter following the announcement.

YG shared the sentiment, simply writing, "The police get away wit murder."
