Kid Ink’s ‘My Own Lane’ Debuts Big on Billboard Chart
Kid Ink‘s major label debut album, ‘My Own Lane,’ suffered a delay from its original December release, but that obviously wasn’t too much of an issue. The effort still had decent sales numbers and finished at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and Top Digital Albums charts.
The album bests his independently released ‘Up & Away’ and last year’s ‘Already Home’ EP — both topped at No. 27. Kid Ink’s debut major label effort pushed 50,000 units, according to Billboard.
The sales still weren’t enough to top Beyonce‘s self-titled album that came out in December. Her LP holds it down at No. 2 with 79,000 sold in its fifth week. Eminem‘s ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2′ trails ‘My Own Lane’ at No. 4.
‘My Own Lane’ also debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Chart. Its release was preceded by September’s Chris Brown-featured ‘Show Me’ and December’s ‘Iz U Down.’
