Kid Frost Is Battling Cancer [PHOTOS]
Veteran rapper Frost (bka Kid Frost) is in a fight for his life. The California rhymer is reportedly battling cancer and has been documenting his health battle on his Instagram account.
Frost, whose real name is Arturo Molina, Jr., is vowing to beat his cancer as he’s currently undergoing daily treatments at a Los Angeles hospital. There’s no word on what type of cancer he’s been diagnosed with, but it may be related to him having diabetes.
In one post, Frost encourages his fans to watch their health and go see a doctor to get a physical check up. In part, he writes:
"You can say what you want to say if you have a family member or know somebody who has gone through anything like this then don't avoid or dodge a potential bullet go get checked! One thing I want to do is educated little bit from my experience and now we're about to go into the battle royale this is no joke. I'm hurting inside for wasting so much time and now as I get older and have a real strong desire to live for these babies and the kids the devil want to hand me a monkey wrench.
Diabetes is not what's going to take me under it's going to be the ailments and the kicker is from having diabetes you won't be able to heal from any other diseases like cancer and such...I know a lot of the s--- right now kid frost Diabetes Awareness foundation wake up call like I said go get checked it takes nothing if you haven't been to the doctor in a while to have a physical and go check yourself out."
Frost is definitely on-point with his message. We lost several rappers in the rap game due to their poor health. It's time for us to get active and get healthy.
Frost is a true O.G. in the rap game. The 51-year-old rhymer was the first Hispanic rapper to be signed to Eazy-E's Ruthless Records label back in 1990s. He is also the father of producer Scoop DeVille who has worked with top-notch rappers like Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg, among many others.
We want to send our positive vibes to Kid Frost and cheer him on as he embarks on his healthy road to recovery. Check out the photos below.
