Kid Cudi may be new to the world of hip-hop, but his list of talents don't stop there. The G.O.O.D Music artist will join the list of rap artists who have a S.A.G Card now that he's landed a leading role in the new HBO series 'How to Make It in America.'

"It's produced by the guys that did 'Entourage.' Mark Wahlberg is the executive producer. It's directed by Julian Farino, who also did 'Sex and the City,' several episodes of that and 'The Sopranos,' and 'Entourage,'" Cudi said in a recent interview. "I have a lead role. My character's name is Domingo Dean. I actually named my character after both my brothers -- Dean, who lives in Phoenix , being one of them, and Domingo."

'How To Make It In America' is centered around three ambitious 20-somethings who hustle their way through New York City determined to achieve the "American Dream," but don't expect to see Cudi's character with a mic in hand.

"It was important to me early on to branch away from music and actually do something outside my comfort zone. When we were developing my character with the writers, I was telling them, 'Man, I don't want to be anything that has to do with music,' just because that's not really acting."

HBO hasn't announced a start date for the series, but look for the Cleveland rapper's studio debut 'Man On The Moon: The End of Day' to hit shelves on September 15.
