Kid Cudi Takes Bonnaroo Stage Despite NYC Arrest

Last Friday, The BoomBox reported that Kid Cudi was arrested in New York City on charges of criminal mischief and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Despite his arrest Cudi was released from jail hours later and flew to Manchester, Tenn. in time for his scheduled 2AM performance at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.

No details were available at press time surrounding how much his bail was or if a court date had been set regarding the case. Cudi allegedly took a young woman's phone, smashed it into pieces and broke her NYC apartment door off its hinges. After being detained by police, a glass bottle of a substance was found on the Cleveland native.

As he took the stage at Bonnaroo early Saturday morning (June 12) he told the crowd, "I really wanted to be here tonight." You can watch his performance at the festival after the jump.
