Kid CudiKid Cudi's references to himself as the Lonely Stoner, coupled with the nightmarish skits and dark songs on his debut album 'Man on the Moon: The End of Day,' have pegged him as hip-hop's resident tortured soul. The Cudder recently took it a step further, by opening up fans to his enthusiasm for horror movies.

Cudi took to his personal blog to encourage fans to see the latest remake of 'A Nightmare on Elm Street,' with famed super villain, Freddy Krueger. "It's a perfect date movie and the rebirth of Freddy Krueger with a modern day twist," Cudi wrote on his blog. "The new Krueger played by Jackie Earle Haley did his thing and made Freddy his own. Him and Robert Englund are 2 diff Freddys to me but both good at being creepy, psychotic and scary as f---."

To make sure that his enthusiasm for the film was clear, Cudi admitted that he would have no reservations about seeing it twice. "Will I go see it again on Friday? Hell yeah, this time on shrooms haha (joking ... kind of)," he wrote, before admitting he still preferred the original 1984 Wes Craven version of the classic flick. "Not Better Than The Original," he continued, "...only because Nothing f---s with the original." Cudi handed down a mandate for all horror fans to check out the film when it hits theaters on Friday, April 30. "It's not a waste of time," he wrote. "I mean c'mon it's Freddy Krueger!!!!"
