Kid Cudi has announced a split from his manager, Patrick "Plain Pat" Reynolds, his partner and producer Emile Haynie, and his imprint, Dream On, which the three launched in 2009.

Cudi began hinting at the dissolution of his label and relationships with Plain Pat and Emile on Friday (Feb. 25) when he sent out cryptic tweets about "making changes."

"New number, new email, starting fresh. lettin go of all things holding me back," Cudi began. "if u have my contacts, dont hit them after today. if i havnt hit u by now to tell u, good knowing u and i wish u well. feels good to start over, opening a new chapter...focused on my empire, focused on love, focused on family. if your not in that equation, byeeeeeeee."

Then, on Saturday afternoon, Cudi revealed more about the rift between his former partners and himself, calling a moratorium on their label. "Dream on is over," he tweeted. "New label announcement soon. Pat and Emile are doing their own thing, i wish them well. I have a diff vision, for music, for the world. im just doing the right thing, i come from a different place. people lose sight of the mission. cant expect everyone to be built like me. when people have different visions, you gotta go your own way."

Cudi released his debut 'Man on the Moon: The End of Day' and the follow-up 'Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager' via Dream On, which was an imprint of Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label. Cudi claims that his new, as-yet-untitled label will maintain the same ties with West.

"Always f----n with yeezy, for life. period. a true friend." Cudi explained. "GOOD music affiliate for life. as far as my movement, i have to lead it. cant expect people to have the same morals as me...iam still with GOOD music, with that being said im just changin my side of things up a bit. so it will be ?/GOOD. still distributed through Motown."

Cudi's former manager and the executive producer of his albums, Plain Pat is a successful songwriter, producer and A&R, who, along with his business partner Emile, has A&R'd projects for Yeezy, Ludacris and Ashanti, while producing for Drake, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Cudi,

Cudi concluded by promising that while the team may have changed up, the music would remain the same. "The jams will be the same but more real and true to me," Cudi tweeted. He is currently hard at work on his new rock album 'Wizard.'
