In celebration of the activities surrounding this year's All-Star Game, American Express singed on to present the 2011 NBA entertainment series which included musical performances from Rihanna, Cali Swag District, Cee Lo Green, Lenny Kravitz and Keri Hilson.

"It's an honor to be here," Hilson, who performed the national anthem during the NBA Saturday Night Series, told The BoomBox. "Anytime you're asked to perform the national anthem, it's an honor. I don't care if it's a high school game or the All-Star Game. It's the NBA, it's honor."

Giving cardholders unprecedented exclusive access, American Express offered up a special, behind-the-scenes tour of the Los Angeles Staples Center, a meet-and-greet with some of the performers, and access to artist rehearsals. "It's exciting," Kravitz, who opened the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday (Feb. 20), told us. "I knew All-Star [weekend] was a big thing, but it's bigger than I thought it was. It's fun because I've been hiding out for the last two years, making a record, so it's always nice to come back into the world and see people, and have a little excitement."

The weekend's activities, offered to premium platinum or centurion AmEx customers, included the NBA Rookies vs. Sophomores game, NBA Saturday Night Series, the NBA Legends Brunch, and premier seating adjacent to the stage, during the All-Star Game.
