Kendrick Lamar’s Energetic ‘Austin City Limits’ Concert Available for Streaming
Kendrick Lamar's fantastic Austin City Limits concert performance at is now available for streaming for free thanks to PBS.
The "Alright" rapper brought his Kuntas’s Groove Sessions to Austin, Texas last October at Austin's Moody Theater when the special was recorded. And now fans get to see the 28-year-old rhymer performs songs off of his latest album, To Pimp a Butterfly.
Among the songs K.Dot performed include "These Walls," a jazzy and funky "For Free?," "Institutionalized" and "u." He also gets into songs from good kid, m.A.A.d city like "Swimming Pools (Drank)," "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe" and a rocked out version "Backseat Freestyle" where he had the entire audience say "beyotch" in unison.
Although it's a bit jarring to hear the altered and clean versions of fan favorites, Lamar's performance is energetic and enjoyable, especially as it wraps up with a crowd sing-along to "Alright."
The Compton rhymer also made news this week as a snippet of his collaborations song with Kanye West's "No More Parties in LA" was released.
Lamar is also featured in a promo for black-ish where cast members are seen singing along to "Alright." Lamar, himself makes an appearance in the ad alongside the family as he eats from a huge bowl of cereal.
