Kendrick Lamar nabbed the Best Hip-Hop Video crown in our 2015 The BoomBox Fan Choice Awards. The Compton rhymer’s clip “Alright” is a visual tour de force that is stunning to watch.

Directed by Colin Tilley, the black-and-white video features K.Dot flying through the streets of his Compton neighborhood as he protests against the alarming rise of police brutality against black youth across the country. The clip ends with a violent shooting where our fearless leader is shot by police.

Lamar’s video beat out some noteworthy visuals, including Nicki Minaj & Beyonce's BFF clip for “Feeling Myself" and Drake’s meme-worthy video for “Hotline Bling.”
