Kendrick Lamar ‘Swimming Pools (Drank)’: Aftermath Signee Turns Things Up on New Single
As fans gear up for the release of his Aftermath debut good kid, m.A.A.d city, Aftermath signee Kendrick Lamar has returned with a new single “Swimming Pools (Drank),” perfectly timed for the summer heat.
Following on the heels of his excellent Dr. Dre-featuring lead single “The Recipe, “Swimming Pools” boasts production by Canadian beatmaker T-Minus (“The Motto,” “I’m On One”), who offers yet another moody bed for Kendrick’s musings.
“N—- why you babysitting only two or three shots/ I’m a show you how to turn it up a notch,” Kendrick sings on breezy the hook. “First you need a swimming pool of liquor/ then you dive in.”
Kendrick’s good kid, m.A.A.d city hits stores October 2. Sounds like it’s going to be great.
