Kendrick Lamar has been making great strides with his Reebok collaborations, which sell out every time they hit store shelves. Following the release of his Reebok Classic Leather "Perfect Split" sneaker, we get the visual companion.

Directed by Nabil, K.Dot is seen in a series of black-and-white imagery and color montages. The Compton rhymer is sitting on a stool as he recalls his humble beginnings as a rapper during his teens and his first introduction to the Reebok Classic shoe.

"When you think about rhymes and style you always want a classic feel," he said. "So my first introduction to a classic shoe was the moment I stepped in school, and I said to myself, 'I want to put something down on paper.'"

"I started writing. And everybody in the classroom was wearing Reebok classic," he added. "Hip-hop was more than just the music. It's part of culture. It's part of having style. It's part of the whole graffiti and arts."

The Reebok Classic Leather “Perfect Split” collection comes in five different colorways: black on white, grey on black, blue, red and white. Each pair boasts a combination of suede, nubuck, leather and mesh materials with a white outsole and gum bottom.

The Reebok Classic Leather “Perfect Split” collection is available now for both men and women for $74.99 at Reebok.com.
