Kendrick Lamar may be close to landing another third no. 1 album on the Billboard 200 charts next week with his new album, Damn.

According to Billboard and industry forecasters, the Compton rapper is on his way to moving 475,000 equivalent album units by the end of this week (April 20), making it his third no. 1 album in a row.

If K. Dot hits the no. 1 slot, and moves the estimated amount of units, it will be the second largest debut for an album this year, behind Drake's More Life playlist, which moved 505,000 units in its first week, according to Nielsen Music. Drizzy's project has also gone on to earn over 1 billion streams since its release last month.

Last year, Lamar earned a no. 1 album with his surprise Untitled Unmastered project, which moved 178,000 units in its first week. He also previously held the top slot with 2015's To Pimp a Butterfly.

We'll be able to find out if K. Dot made the no. 1 slot on Sunday, April 23 when the list is updated and revealed, but for now we can enjoy the sounds of Damn., which has been receiving loads of critical acclaim from fans and the media.
