Kendrick Lamar has a plea for Janet Jackson: Please be in my music video!

According to MTV's Rapfix, the rapper is hoping that Janet, whose film, Poetic Justice, inspired his single with the same name, will make a cameo on the track.

"That'll be a blessing," he told MTV. "Janet, c'mon, Janet. No paperwork with the managers, contact the managers. This is artist to artist. This is a young boy that looked up to you for years. Please, yeah, video, Janet Jackson 'Poetic Justice.' It'll only be right."

Even if Janet doesn't pull through, Kendrick still has a reason to keep his spirits up. It was confirmed today via Rap Radar that his debut album Good Kid, m.A.A.D City has made the 500,000 mark, certifying it gold.

Congrats!
