Kendrick Lamar is set to perform at the White House on Monday for a Fourth of July event. The TDE star will be taking the stage for guests including war veterans, politicians and, of course, President Barack Obama--who's a well-known K. Dot fan, according to Politico.

Janelle Monae is also scheduled to perform at the event--which will also include a barbecue and fireworks display.

"White House staff and their families from throughout the administration will also attend this event for the fireworks viewing," White House press secretary Josh Earnest told the media.

Lamar's "Pay It Forward" video, which promoted mentorship, was filmed during his October visit to the White House.

The cover for Lamar's acclaimed 2015 album To Pimp A Butterfly showed his friends from Compton, CA posing on the White House lawn. The President praised ...Butterfly and declared Lamar's "How Much a Dollar Cost" as his favorite song of the year.

The White House engagement is the latest in what's been a stellar year for Kendrick Lamar, who dropped the acclaimed compilation album untitled, unmastered in March, delivered the most talked-about performance at this year's Grammy Awards and last week, opened the BET Awards with a stellar performance alongside Beyonce. He also was tapped to induct Compton heroes N.W.A. into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in April.

Monae also performed at the BET Awards this year, taking part in the star-studded tribute to Prince. She has also been announced as a headliner at this year's Afropunk Festival in Brooklyn. President Obama sang Monae's praises when they were together at a rally in Chicago back in 2012.
