Kendrick Lamar has connected with Maroon 5 on the new single, "Don't Want to Know."

The song marks Maroon 5's first single since 2014, and continues to illustrate that Kendrick can pretty much rock any genre, following his collaborations with Sia, Imagine Dragon and Taylor Swift. The track, produced by Benny Blanco, dropped just before midnight across all streaming platforms and digital retailers.

The song, which boasts a tropical vibe, finds K.Dot on point as per usual.

“No more police stop/No more hashtag boo'd up screenshots/No more tryin' make me jealous on your birthday/You know just how I make you better on your birthday, oh,” he raps.

The official music video directed by David Dobkin drops on Oct. 14 on NBC's Today. Although this is Kendrick and Maroon 5's first collaboration, he and frontman, Adam Levine previously worked together on The Lonely Island's "YOLO" back in 2013.
