Kelly Rowland's father, Christopher Lovett, is desperate to reunite with his long-lost daughter "before it's too late." The 67-year-old dad hasn't spoken to the R&B singer in over 20 years and he feels it's time they finally meet.

“So many previous years have passed and I’m getting old,” he tells Star magazine (via Radaronline). “I just pray she comes back into my life before it’s too late.”

Lovett admits that abusing Rowland's mom Doris has made him and his daughter estranged for over two decades. He now hopes he can make amends for his past behavior. "I couldn't control it. I hoped I could make it up to her. But I'm still waiting for that day," he said.

He also claims that he has reached out to K.Row on several occasions, but hasn't heard from the 'Motivation' singer.

"Whenever [Destiny's Child] was on the cover of a magazine, I would call and beg them to tell her I was looking for her," he said.

The real question here is, who is he calling? Lovett may need to search for a different phone number because he's talking to the wrong people, but we digress.

In Rowland's defense, the singer is eager to reunite with her father, but is in no hurry to do so.

"I do have a desire to speak to him,” she said in a 2011 interview. “But I have to be ready when I make that decision, and I don’t want to hurry myself. I’ve been without him for more than 20 years.”

In the end, Lovett wants his superstar daughter to know, “I love you with all my heart.”

We hope that Rowland and her dad will finally reunite.
