Fresh off the release of her sixth album, 'Kelly,' songstress Kelly Price hit the Essence Music Festival and proved that despite a small hiatus, she is still an R&B force to be reckoned with.

Performing Sunday (July 3) in the R&B Super Lounge, which was adjacent from the main stage in the New Orleans Superdome, the newly slimmed-down Price took fans down a musical memory lane ranging from her debut album to her newly released project.

"I'm so honored to be here," she said. "This record 'Kelly,' it was a milestone for me," she explained before sharing the stage with Stoakley of Mint Condition for her latest single 'Not My Daddy.' Price's set list also included her singles 'Heartbreak Hotel,' 'I Canít Hide' and a cover of Chaka Khan's 'Ain't Nobody.'

Price appeared as one of the many acts performing outside of the main stage which was reserved for headliners Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, Boyz II Men, and Chaka Khan. The festival also featured appearances by Timothy Blum, MC Lyte, and Naughty by Nature. For more information on the Essence Music Festival visit www.essence.com.
