Kelis to Serve Up ‘Saucy’ New Show on Cooking Channel

Kelis is bringing her culinary passion to the small screen. The R&B singer, who is a certified chef, will launch her new cooking show next week on the Cooking Channel.

According to Consequence of Sound, the ‘Milkshake’ singer will host a show called ‘Saucy and Sweet.’ The program will feature Kelis serving up some delectable dishes with attitude. “I show my love with food,” she says.

Her culinary show couldn’t come at a better time.

The 34-year-old mom — and ex-wife to Nas — is set to release her new project titled ‘Food’ on April 22. The 13-song collection, produced entirely by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, features culinary-themed tunes like ‘Jerk Ribs,’ ‘Breakfast,’ ‘Fish Fry’ and ‘Biscuits ’n’ Gravy.’ Kelis describes the album as a “soul record that’s as raw and alternative as it is classic.”

In the meantime, Kelis’ cooking show, ‘Saucy and Sweet,’ will premiere on the Cooking Channel on Feb. 26 at 8:30PM ET.
