KelisNas and Kelis' divorce has been an open topic for discussion this past year, thanks the highly-publicized details of their separation.

A thorough Google search can chronicle each step of their court battles, through the official termination of their marriage to mixed feedback from the public. But according to the Kelis, all of the public speculation and gossip has fallen on deaf ears.

"You know what's funny, I don't have a really good understanding [of it]," Kelis told The BoomBox, referring to the scrutiny on her divorce. "I know that people are trying to be in my business, but they're really not. I don't read anything that people say about me, and the people around me are real friends."

The 'Bossy' singer laughed at the thought of even attempting to read what has been written about her. "Most of it, even the positive stuff is negative, because no one should be in your business like that," she said. "So at the end of the day I really don't even know what people are saying about me, so it doesn't affect me at all actually. It serves no purpose, unless I'm looking for it -- like why would I know? I'm not looking. I don't look up myself on blogs. I don't even know what they're saying."

Kelis is currently on tour promoting her upcoming album 'Flesh Tone,' which will debut on July 6. It is her first release since 2006's 'Kelis Was Here.'
