Keke Palmer’s New Video Tackles the ‘Reverse Psychology’ of Relationships [WATCH]

Keke Palmer is flipping the script in video for "Reverse Psychology."

The video starts off with a message for all viewers: "To change the thoughts of men, it takes a real woman to reverse his psychology."

Afterward, the 23-year-old singer explains the message by providing scenarios that are often about men being unfaithful to their significant others with the excuse that they "can't let go" of the "hoes."

"What if I told you I was out loving another man? / What if I told you it didn't mean a thing," she sings over guitar sounds akin to Ciara's "And I." "What if I told you that I loved you so but these hoes, I can't let go? / Could you handle all the things that you told me? / How about some reverse psychology?"

The track also gives us Beyoncé's "If I Were a Boy" vibes.

In an interview with Billboard, Palmer explains her motivations behind the new track.

"I think for me, especially with the continuation of my shadow kids, it's all about awareness," she said. "I think, while staying true to myself and whatever my current disposition is, it's important for me to display consciousness or the process of being aware of your thoughts as a young person. Whether it be abstract or actual or both."

This is the third visual we've seen from Palmer this year, following the Jeremih-featured video for "Enemiez" and "Yellow Lights" where Palmer channels Aaliyah.
