Singer/songwriter Kay Cola, Chris Brown's neighbor, has come out in support of Karrueche Tran, who recently filed a restraining order against the singer after he allegedly threatened to kill her.

Tran, 28, also alleges that Brown threatened to hurt her friends and was “punched twice in the stomach” by the singer and was “pushed down the stairs” while they were together. Now, Cola is backing up her claims of abuse.

"She left him!" Cola wrote in a series of tweets. "It wasn't my place to speak on her issues however now that she is speaking on it I can't sit by and watch people say she's lying. That's what's wrong with our society. The police didn't do shit. They have been called out several times, do your research North Hollywood Police station. I spoke to her about it and I sent people upstairs and even [went] upstairs myself. I did what I could and that's that."

Cola said she's tired of people accusing Tran of lying.

"Some of y’all make me sick to my stomach talking about. Karrecuhes [sic] lying," she added. "I’ve heard him beating her myself. I even called the police . . . I used to cry over that situation hearing her screaming at the top of her lungs,” she tweeted. “I never spoke up, cause I didn’t feel it was my place but hearing y’all say she’s lying I can’t just sit by and watch this . . . I even got into it with Chris because his loud a– used 2 wake up my daughter. He was rude as f--- & I had known him since he was a kid.”

She continued by saying that people accusing Tran of lying is why more women don't speak out.

"The point is, stop defending these assholes and always blaming the woman," she wrote. "It's sad & sick, & is why women don't speak out."

Following her comments, Cola has received both support and negative reactions. She says that the negativity doesn't bother her, however, because she's telling the truth, and wants Brown to get help.
