A Detroit radio station has had enough of Kanye West and has launched a campaign to #MuteKanye.

On Thursday (May 3), 105.1 The Bounce's radio personalities Shay Shay and BiGG had a discussion over West’s comments that slavery was a “choice,” among other things. In the clip, Shay Shay says she’s doesn’t want to hear West anymore. She feels that the Chicago rapper-producer is not using his influential platform wisely with his outrageous comments.

"As a black female educator who works with kids, I think it's reckless, I think it's irresponsible to use your platform like this," she said. "I get it he's entitled to his own opinion. But on my platform, I feel like it's important to make a statement."

"I don't want to hear Kanye anymore," she concluded.

Both Shay Shay and BiGG both agreed that they “don’t want to hear Kanye’s music, we don’t want to play Kanye on our show, we don’t want to talk about Kanye anymore.” So the #MuteKanye campaign is currently in effect.

There's no word if other radio stations will follow suit. However, on Twitter, it appears fans are fed up with Kanye West as well. Peep some of the reactions below.
