While Kanye West has been ranting about the ways the fashion world marginalizes him and his inability to produce a quality clothing line, it seems like his creative head and right-hand man Virgil Abloh has been busy making moves of his own.

Looking to expand the lines of streetwear, Virgil has launched a new menswear clothing line called Off-White.

Abloh has made a name for himself in the fashion and design realms over the years -- with the creation of Pyrex Vision, and working as the collaborator for Been Trill. The Chi-town native has made his way around the world, and now he's working in Italy to breakdown streetwear confines and open up fashionistas to new expectations.

Style.com news editor Matthew Schneier caught up with Abloh to understand his mindset while creating Off-White. Schneier says the line is "a streetwear-meets-fashion line that builds on, and expands upon, Pyrex Vision...Off-White will be a full cut-and-sew line, made in Italy."

“Streetwear has a one-trick-ponyness to it,” Abloh told Schneier. “I want to give my point of view and merge street sensibilities in a proper fashion context. I think that if I can merge the two, it’ll make something interesting.”

The Off-White Spring 2014 collection, which will be the brand's first, will be "based largely on Abloh's graphics."
