As we witnessed with his both his recent 'American Psycho'-inspired 'Yeezus' commercial and 'Runaway' short film in support of 2010's 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,' Kanye West has a thing for movies. But in 2008, the G.O.O.D. Music mogul tried his hand at television, too.

With the help of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' executive producer Larry Charles, Kanye filmed a pilot for HBO. The network never aired the series after deeming it "too hardcore" for their audience, according to Charles. But now that footage uploaded by actress Alison Quinn three years ago (yes, three years ago) is suddenly making its rounds online, we can all enjoy a memory refresher.

In the clip below, Kanye, playing himself, visits a Make-a-Wish kid, only to find out that the boy prefers Lil Wayne and R. Kelly to Mr. West. Things get even more awkward after Ye has to explain to Quinn how he landed the cover of 'TIME' Magazine.

There are moments that are worth a chuckle or two, but nothing that warrants calling yourself "the black Larry David." Sorry, Kanye.
