Kanye West to Perform ‘Heartless’ on ‘American Idol’

Rapper Kanye West is set to perform on Fox's 'American Idol' this Wednesday, March 11. The Chicago-native will perform his hit single 'Heartless' off his platinum-plus selling album '808's & Heartbreak.'

The superstar will appear alongside Idol winner Kelly Clarkson who will perform her latest single 'My Life Would Suck Without You.' The two will hit the stage during the show's weekly elimination night. However, neither star will coach the 13 contestants on their performance skills, as previous guest stars have done.

This performance marks West' first appearance on the show, which allows America to vote off contestants weekly until one winner is standing. He will join the likes of previous guests like Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez.

Over the last few months West has been seen jet-setting all over the world with model girlfriend Amber Rose. The two are currently in Paris for the city's bi-annual fashion week. A budding designer in his own right, West recently created a sneaker line for Louis Vuitton and is set to release his own clothing line called "Pastel" or "Past Tell."
