Kanye West has a knack for dropping name brands in his rhymes and then later working with said entities in reality. (See the Louis Vuitton Don's actual Louis Vuitton sneakers as one example.) Now, after name-checking fashion designer Phoebe Philo in rhyme, the New York Post reports the Chicago rapper will be presenting her with the International Award at the CFDA Fashion Awards next Monday at the Lincoln Center in New York City.

Philo is the Creative Director of French women's brand Celine. Yeezy dropped her name in 'Dark Fantasy,' the opening track to his 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' album, when he spit, "I'm just a Chi-Town n---- with a Nas Flow, and my chick in the new Phoebe Philo."

West doesn't just let his chicks get all the shine, though. The 'All Falls Down' rapper has been known to wear pieces of clothing intended for women and recently wore a tunic from Celine during his performance at this year's Coachella festival. So surely West presenting Philo with her award is far from coincidental.

The animated rhymer also teamed with female designer Tory Burch in early May at the Met Costume Institute Gala. West wore a custom-made Burch suit, posing for cameras together as they walked the red carpet. Burch, who has made the Reva flat her signature shoe, teaming with 'Ye raised some eyebrows at the event but shocking the public is far from surprising when it comes to the fashion forward entertainer.
