Kanye West Slanders Deadmau5: ‘Thank You Dead Mow Five’

Kanye West hasn’t sparked any feuds on social media as of late, however, he did get into a brief Twitter spat with electronic producer Deadmau5 on Wednesday (March 2).

It all started when West posted a photo of his computer screen that shows him listening to Sufjan Stevens. But if you look closely you can see a tab is open of him searching for the production software program Serum on the torrent website Pirate Bay.

Two things here: First, West is supposedly planning legal action against Pirate Bay for bootlegging his album, The Life of Pablo, and second, Deadmau5 is the co-founder of Xfer Records, which backs the company Serum.

West's photo was brought to Deadmau5’s attention and he lashed out at Yeezy for not paying for the product.

“Let's start a Kickstarter to help @kanyewest afford a copy of Serum,” he tweeted. "He needs a small loan of 200$ #prayforyeezy”

This prompted the G.O.O.D. Music leader to poke fun at Deadmau5's name and the huge mouse headgear that he wears during his club events.

In one tweet, which has since been deleted, West asked how did he pronounced his name and called him "Dead-Mow-Five."

"I’m bored ### when you get married will your wife have a giant minnie mouse head? # This brightened up my day...thank you dead-mow-five," he added.

Yeezy then asked Deadmau5 if he does birthday parties and offered him to perform at his daughter North's birthday party but only as Minnie Mouse because that her favorite character.

Deadmau5 didn't appreciate West's slanderous remarks and fired off a tweet, "Imma let you finish.... But you should probably be saving the money for a 4th grade education."

Ouch!
