See Kanye West, Rihanna, Aaliyah, Tupac & More Featured in Vintage Ad Posters [PHOTOS]
If you were a rap fan growing up, you probably put rap posters on your bedroom wall. Well, one designer got really creative and re-imagined some of your favorite rappers and singers to place them in vintage advertisement posters.
Designed by French artist David Redon (via his Tumblr page), the collection of artwork also features the artists’ lyrics in the throwback ads.
For example, Redon transformed Kanye West’s lyrics from his 2007 tune 'Stronger' into the 1943 'We Can Do It' wartime propaganda poster (see above). The original artwork featured the iconic female production worker flexing her muscle.
From Notorious B.I.G.’s 'Juicy' pancakes to Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' toothpaste to Aaliyah's 'Rock the Boat' cassette player, Redon’s collection of artwork is hilarious and wildly imaginative.
Although Redon just got started making these creative illustrations, the photos are already starting to spread around the web.
