Kanye West promised it would drop last Friday, but fans will find the official remix to his comeback single 'Power' worth the wait. Riding a revamped beat that squeezes even more progressive rock overtones out of the song's King Crimson sample, West pairs up with Jay-Z in an attempt to show the world what it looks like from the top. The track also feels like the return of the remix as a true event -- new beat, new rhymes and some special surprises all delight along the way.

Jay puts in a quotable big brother verse that name checks everyone from Axl Rose and Taylor Swift to Norman Mailer. "Rumble, young man, rumble," he raps, quoting Muhammad Ali. "Life is a trip, so sometimes, we gon' stumble/ You gotta go through pain in order to become you/ But once the world numbs you, you'll feel like it's only one of you/ Now you got the power to do anything you want to."

Thereafter, the track plots along until a harsh interruption comes from none other than Swizz Beatz. "Hey, yo, Yeezy, stop playin' with these people, man," he admonishes. "You know what I'm talkin' 'bout?" Apparently, Ye knows exactly what he's talking about. Swizzy flips the beat into a blown out version of Snap's 'The Power' and West absolutely pops off.

"Don't even think you can allude to the rumors," he raps. "I'm immune to the booze/ I'm a prude to you losers."
