Kanye West is no stranger to the emo world. Through the all-caps Twitter rants and "Imaletyou finish" moments of the last few years, West has showed more of his angry side in public and displayed his softer side through lyrics. But during a part of his and Jay-Z's Watch the Throne tour in Philadelphia last night (Nov. 2), the Chi-town MC showed his true colors through a heart-on-sleeve performance of 'Runaway.'

After calling out all the lovers and spouses in the audience, West dedicated the tune to the one that got away. "To the city of Philly, I want to thank y'all for making the incredible person that this song was made for ... " he said, his voice cracking through the Auto-Tune tremolo. This shout-out to a lost love could very well have been a direct message to Philly's own Amber Rose, West's ex. "I thought you'd always be mine!" he continues, finishing out 'Runaway' with a bang.

The crowd was obviously shocked that they had heard Kanye call out an old flame, which is the opposite of what he's used to doing. As The Boombox previously reported, the 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' creator took to the stage at the 2011 Coachella music festival to deliver a slightly different version of his hit single 'Stronger.' "I'd do anything for a blonde dyke/ And she'll do anything for the limelight," he rapped, "I did anything for a blonde dyke/ And she'll do anything for the limelight." So it begs the question -- does 'Ye want his lady back?

If so, he will have to deal with Rose's new boyfriend and marijuana aficionado Wiz Khalifa. What do you think of Kanye's bold move? Totally brave, or way too late?
