Kanye West No stranger to the fashion world, Kanye West recently lent his influential style and presence to Japanese clothing company A Bathing Ape, a.k.a BAPE. Owner and founder, Nigo started the brand with just a few hand printed t-shirts in the early '90s and carefully crafted BAPE into a globally renowned and progressive lifestyle brand that is highly respected in the street and high fashion communities.

Today, long supporter Kanye West is the next face of BAPE's latest collection. Mr. West was photographed by Keiichi Nitta for BAPE's Spring 2010 collection. Kanye confirmed the news on his blog, saying he would be appearing in a series of still photos for the season's new look book.

"This shoot was mad fun," West wrote. "This collection uses really great fabrics, easy to wear cuts and still the occasional super expensive decadent prints. BAPE ran the last decade and they're ready for the next one!"

Known was for their trademark multi-colored camouflage prints and limited edition patent leather tennis sneakers, BAPE has been a favorite of the hip-hop community and seen on the likes of Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, and many more. Pharrell Williams was such a fan of the line he started two adjacent clothing lines with Nigo, Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream.
