Kanye West Hopes to Reclaim Top Spot With ‘808s & Heartbreak’

We all know that Kanye West could really care less what people think of any of his decisions, be they fashion, music or otherwise. Mr. West hit up 'Big Boy's Radio Show' to talk about his forthcoming album and explain his confidence in its greatness.

"I'm not doing this to only have two people have this in their car," West said in an interview with the disc jockey. "I'm doing this to make the most incredible album you've ever heard."

The producer/rapper also noted that fans and critics may have trepidation over his use of a vocoder on his records, but he doesn't care. He isn't doing the record to be avant-guard. "People heard 'Heartless' and thought it was safe. They were like, 'Kanye's over here. It's all good now.' As you see, nobody's safe," he said. "I'm coming for the spot. It's a lot of people with number one spots right now, and I'm coming back for my spot."

Among other tracks on the album is the song 'Coldest Weather,' which is dedicated to his late mother Dr. Donda West. Kanye's fourth album is due in stores on Nov. 25.
