The “All Day” rapper was a student at the American Academy of Art and Chicago State University before leaving school to pursue a music career at age 20. Several years later, West released his 2004 debut album, The College Dropout, on Roc-A-Fella Records.

Elsewhere in the interview, ‘Ye talked about Drake, race relations in America, the fashion industry and his definition of “street knowledge.”
